This project began in early summer 2021 with the idea of revamping the entrance into the farm. The project began with excavation work, tearing up the old failing pavement leading into the farm. The driveway was then regraded in preparation for it to be repaved. New drainage was added as well at that time.
The project continued into the fall with a plan to landscape both sides of the entrance into the farm. These areas were prepped for planting by removing brush, regrading and adding clean fill. Large rocks were relocated from the various areas around the farm to help define the areas of planting and new irrigation was added to keep the plants watered. Specific plants and trees were chosen that will provide color throughout most of the year. Many of the plants that were installed are also deer resistant. We are looking forward to continuing to develop the entrance to the farm.
