The planning for this project began years prior but ground was officially broken on President’s Day weekend in 2022. The goal of this project was to run underground irrigation throughout the farm. Up until this point, the entire farm relied solely on mother nature to provide water to our crops. This project uses three different water sources to supply to our crops. There is more than 4000′ total of 4″ main pipe laid below the surface which provides filtered water to various areas throughout the farm.
Each block of crops has a specific hydrant which allows complete control of the amount of water pumped to that area. You will notice that there is drip irrigation tubing that is laid on the ground under each tree. This tubing allows water and chemicals to flow to each tree providing the correct amount of food and water.
